Detroit, Facts, and Family: Chamillionaire Claps Back At People Who Are Criticizing Him For Helping The Family Of An Immigrant Who Was Unjustly Deported TR 💯💯💯🙌🏾✊🏿Rapper @Chamillionaire has been quietly working to connect with the family of JorgeGarcia. Thanks to the Trump administration's crackdown on immigration, he was recently deported back to Mexico after living in the U.S. for thirty years with no criminal record. Jorge has also spent close to $125,000 on legal costs in efforts to get himself legalized since 2005 to no avail. _______________________________________ The man's story gained traction thanks to Detroit Free Press reporter Niraj Warikoo. Chamillionaire wanted to reach out to the Garcia family so that he could assist with their finances in Jorge's absence. Unfortunately the rapper has received backlash for "not helping his own." He took to Instagram last night where he reminded people that he is a product of immigrants and criticized them for trying to diminish the role of immigrants in the United States. _______________________________________ "A lot of people are hitting me saying, 'I'm proud of you for wanting to help an immigrant family in their time of need,' but I a lot of people are hitting saying, 'I don't understand why a Black man would want to help Mexicans' and nonsense like, 'They don't do nothing for us! Black people need to help Black people!'" Chamillionaire began. _______________________________________ "I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'm from Texas. I know a lot of y'all have been led to believe the toxic narrative that Mexicans are doing this and Mexicans are doing that like they aren't valuable contributors to our economy and our society." The rapper went on to tell some little known facts about how his biggest record "Ridin' (Dirty)" was launched to success with the help of close—(View more at TheShadeRoom.Com!) 📸: @chamillionaire Rp @theshaderoom

Children, Detroit, and Donald Trump: Father Of Two Deported To Mexico After 30 Years In The States @balleralert Father Of Two Deported To Mexico After 30 Years In The States – blogged by @MsJennyb (pic via NIRAJ WARIKOO) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On Monday, 39-year-old Jorge Garcia kissed his wife and kids goodbye, just before being deported from metro Detroit to Mexico. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to Detroit Free Press, 30 years after traveling to the United States with an undocumented family member at the age of 10, Garcia was sent back to his home country, leaving his wife and two children, who are all citizens of the U.S. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Garcia had been facing deportation since 2009, facing an order of removal from immigration courts. However, Obama’s administration allowed stays of removal, which kept Garcia in the states. But, with Donald Trump’s racist take on immigration, which has fueled his intense crackdown on illegal immigrants, Garcia’s time in the states was cut short. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Despite his good standing with the law, he has been ordered to Mexico. ICE agents escorted the 39-year-old through the airport and allowed him to say goodbye to his wife and children. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to the publication, prior to his deportation, he asked the agents if he could stay until the new DACA bill passed, as it may expand the age range for qualification (Garcia is too old to qualify), but the organization refused. He was ordered to leave by Jan. 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
