Asian, College, and Definitely: Muna Mire e} @Muna_Mire Civility is also white anglo culture I have never met a polite African or a Jew that insisted on manners over urgency so. Stop forcing WASP culture on us Imao 8:14 AM 26 Jun 18 159 Retweets 1,043 Likes
libertarirynn:

celticpyro:

kamiyu910:

1r3l4nd13:

kamiyu910:

jewishmagpie:

submitted by @thetransgenderoffender: Im not sure how to unpack this
Please help

Thanks, I want to die.

wtf?

But if white people are rude, they get called racist too, so… damned if ya do, damned if ya don’t.

So it’s white to have manners? Is it English white or general white??

I don’t know. Do the Italians count as white? Compared to the Proper British stereotypes, the Italians can come off as downright rude, but also vice versa. I know some Americans consider the French rude, or the Germans, but it’s all just cultural differences.

What is even civility anymore…

Consider: different cultures have different standards of ‘manners.’

Also a lot of Western African cultures are known for being *extremely* hospitable and friendly and welcoming. I’m not sure what the hell this girl is on about.

And let’s not even talk about Asian culture where civility and respect is HUGE. At my college we used to have South Korean exchange students, and one year we had two students who were both in their 20s but one was like 24 and the other was maybe 22. Whenever decisions were made, the 22-year-old would always defer to the 24-year-old. He was the one who would decide things for both of them. Because in their culture even when it comes to peers you pay respect to those older than you. That’s a concept that’s pretty much foreign in Western culture. Definitely not an “Anglo white people” thing.

Future, Kim Jong-Un, and Memes: HISTORICAL SUMMIT President Trump met with Kim Jong-Un Monday night, the first meeting between a sitting American President and a North Korean leader President Trump met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un for a historical meeting Monday night (Tuesday morning local time) in Singapore. This is the first time a sitting American president met with a North Korean leader. Mr. Trump said he will be suspending joint military exercises with South Korean forces and is confident Mr. Kim will continue with denuclearization “very quickly.” __ The meeting took place at a hotel on the island of Sentosa, and after Mr. Trump and Mr. Kim shook hands, they headed inside for a solo meeting. The initial one-on-one meeting between the two leaders, which lasted around 40 minutes, was mostly private aside from a pair of interpreters. After the private meeting, Mr. Kim and President Trump preceeded to a working lunch with more officials, when Mr. Trump told reporters two had formed an “excellent relationship.” __ In a televised portion of the summit, the two leaders signed a joint statement, where Mr. Trump “committed to provide security guarantees” to North Korea, and Mr. Kim “reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.” __ After their meeting, Mr. Kim told reporters: - “It was not easy to get here. The past worked as fetters on our limbs, and the old prejudices and practices worked as obstacles on our way forward. But we overcame all of them, and we are here today.” __ Trump told reporters he would “absolutely” invite Mr. Kim to the White House in the future.
