Apparently, Bitch, and Crazy: r/ChoosingBeggars 12h S 1 Crazy Karen at Starbucks gets KICKED OUT!! MEDIUM So this isn't my first post here and I'm sure it won't be my last. I'm deaf and have been since I was 12, from then on I learned sign language and really focused on learning how to lip read because all of my friends were hearing. Our story begins a couple days ago when me and a good friend of mine (known each other for over 10 years) were in line at Starbucks. Honestly I was pretty nervous as most of the time I just use mobile order because it's a lot less pressure on me and is less time consuming for the barista. But of course today my phone had died Lucky I had a friend with me to calm me down, there was a pretty long line but we didn't mind and we just signed while we waited for our turn when I see the lady in front of us at the counter. I can tell she's angry as she's throwing her hands up in the air but of course she's facing away from me so I don't get to know all the juice. l asked my friend to sign what she was saying so I could gossip with her. So she starts interpreting and here's what went down. EP: You are honestly the worst cashier I have EVER met! Where is your manager? Today's your last day at work and I'm gonna make sure of it! Barista: I'll be right back just let me go get my manager for you, in the meantime just step right over here so these two ladies can get through The barista turns around and leaves when the EP looks back at me and my friend. EP: Of course! Starbucks is always somethingI didn't understand Yet I am always put last!!! Me: I'm sorry, I can't hear you I'm deaf i said this while signing EP: So they're gonna serve a RETARD over ME! I've been waiting longer and they should really serve the 'normal people' first she said something after that but I was so shocked that I stopped reading her lips Friend: Are you kidding me!? She's just deaf and she deserves just as much respect as you. Don't start calling her abnormal just because can't fucking hear you cunt The manager came in from the back to calm everyone down, EP apparently told the manager I was "throwing up gang signs" when my friend told him "she's fucking deaf! What do you want from her lady?" And then EP went off on the cashier for attempting to have other people cut her in line' EP was asked to leave and my friend and I got our drinks for free! And man did it feel good to wave at that bitch while she was huffing in her car with my free coffee. Award 1.2k 76 Share Call me crazy but this seems a bit to good to be true

Dear All As many of you probably know, today is my last day. But before I leave, I wanted to take this opportunity to let you knoww what a great and distinct pleasure it has been. For nearly as long as I've worked here, I' ve hoped that I might one day leave this company. And now that this dream has become a reality, please know that I could not have reached this goal without your unending lack of support. Words cannot express my gratitude for the words of gratitude you did not express. I would especially like to thank all of my managers: in an age where miscommunication is all too common, you consistently impressed and inspired me with the sheer magnitude of your misinformation. It takes a strong man to admit his mistake- it takes a stronger man to attribute his mistake to me. Over the past year, you have taught me more than I could ever ask for and, in most cases, ever did ask for. I have been fortunate enough to work with some absolutely interchangeable supervisors on a wide variety of seemingly identical projects- an invaluable lesson in overcoming daily tedium in overcoming daily tedium in overcoming daily tedium Your demands were high and your patience short, but I take great solace knowing that my work was, as stated on my annual review, "mostly satisfactory." That is the type of praise that sends a man home happy after even a 10 hour day, smiling his way through half a bottle of mostly satisfactory scotch. And to most of my peers: even though we barely acknowledged each other within these office walls, I hope that in the future, should we pass on the street, you will regard me the same way as I regard you: sans eye contact.
