A letter from the GOTG... @prattprattpratt @davebautista @zoesaldana MarvelousJokes: An Open Letter from the Cast of "Guardians of the Galaxy To our fans and friends: We fully support James Gunn. We were all shocked by his abrupt firing last week and have intentionally waited these ten days to respond in order to think, pray, listen and discuss. In that time, we've been encouraged by the outpouring of support from fans and members of the media who wish to see James reinstated as director of Volume 3 as well as discouraged by those so easily duped into believing the many outlandish conspiracy theories surrounding him Being in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies has been a great honor in each of our lives. That given the slightest change in circumstances, we would all, sooner or later, tear each other to shreds. That we were, at root, self-interested, cowardly, envious and potentially dangerous in groups. I have since come to believe — after many meals with many different people in many, many different places — that though there is no shortage of people who would do us harm, we are essentially good. That the world is, in fact, filled with mostly good and decent people who are simply doing the best they can. Everybody, it turns out, is proud of their food (when they have it). They enjoy sharing it with others (if they can). They love their children. They like a good joke. Sitting at the table has allowed me a privileged perspective and access that others, looking principally for “the story,” do not, I believe, always get. People feel free, with a goofy American guy who has expressed interest only in their food and what they do for fun, to tell stories about themselves — to let their guard down, to be and to reveal, on occasion, their truest selves. … People, wherever they live, are not statistics. They are not abstractions. … I’m not saying that sitting down with people and sharing a plate is the answer to world peace. Not by a long shot. But it can’t hurt.” - Anthony Bourdain: "Travel isnit always pretty It isn't always comfortable Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that's okay. A rollercoaster of a season has come to an end. 9 weeks ago, we were 4-6. It seemed like a long shot. An injury filled team who hadn't won in a month. "This puppy" was over. Aaron Rodgers told the media "I feel like we can run The Table." It became a team motto and for the Packers, some light at the end of the tunnel. Whether you thought about it or not "Run the table" was all in the back of our minds. It made us think "hey, we can actually do this thing." The Packers went on to win six straight. Starting in Philadelphia, then Houston, we took care of Seattle, and with three weeks to go in the NFL season, Green Bay had 3 divisional games. They beat the Bears, took care of Minnesota and in a week 17, winner takes the North battle, the Packers came out on top. A tough ending to this season. No Super Bowl. But this team showed a fight that you don't see very often, resiliency that is second to none, and gave us, as fans, a hell of a performance. Thank you for a phenomenal season.
