 "nice guy" experience?
 So, possibly one of the coolest things I've
 ever seen. I mean you know how you hear the
 "women want him, men want to *be* him"
 stuff in old movies? Well I'm a man and by
 *god* I wanted to be this guy. Anyway!
 I'm having dinner with my girlfriend at
 the time, and behind us are a couple on a
 not going well. Guy was being
 I
 rather
 inappropriate comments, the girl doesn't
 look at all comfortable.
 The girl finishes her appetiser really quickly
 my guess is she wanted to get it over with.
 Guy proceeds to comment on it and says
 "well, least I know you can swallow right?"
 Loudly
 Girl goes red and tells him that isn't
 appropriate, he literally waves his hand in
 a "shoo" type motion and says "oh calm
 down I was going to find out in a few hours
 anyway"
 I missed her exact re
 as she moved to a
 hushed tone, but it was fairly obvious what
 was being said-fuck no, fuck off, fuck this.
 He responded with "sweetheart I picked
 lost the
 colour in her face and said nothing.
 No. No. Fuck no. I'm one of those "get
 involved" type of people and there is no way
 I'm sitting here watching this go down. I get
 up. I don't know what I'm going to do, but
 I'm 23, fighting fit and happy to put that
 motherfucker through a wall. I may have had
 a slight temper in my youth. But anyway.
 I was halfway out of my chair when a hand
 came down on my shoulder and I look up
 to this mid-50s but super fit guy who says
 "Easy. I've got this one son". Absolute, total
 confidence in his voice.. so seeing as my
 current plan amounted to "stab him in the
 neck" and I'm already thinking maybe that's
 not the best idea, I sit down.
 He walks over, grabs a nearby chair, flips it
 around and sits down with the couple. Then..
 he pulls out his police ID and puts it on the
 table. Now the guy doesn't have any colour in
 his face
 Cop: "So, I'm quietly celebrating my
 daughters birthday with my family when I
 distinctly hear you threaten this young lady,
 would you care to explain yourself?"
 Guy: "I, ah, well, um, you see.
 Cop: "That's what I thought. Now see, we
 take a *very* dim view of that kind of thing,
 so right now I'm deciding if I want to have
 some of my buddies come pick you up"
 Guy: "oh no well that..."
 Cop: "But that would disrupt everyone's
 dinner, so how about you hand me your ID,
 me, the dn't want yhe staff here and
 settle your bill., the full bill now, this young
 lady shouldn't go hungry on account of your
 poor behaviour. Or we can go with the first
 option, I'll leave it up to you.
 Guy: "No no! That's perfectly fine!" 1*hands
 over ID, gets up and walks very quickly in the
 direction of the counter
 Cop: while writing down the guys details
 1* "Sorry about that miss, I hope I'm not
 intruding it just seemed like you could use
 some help. Oh and don't worry, if you want
 to pursue this further I'll have some of the
 boys pick him up on his way home, we can
 definitely take this further.
 Girl: "No, thank you so much, I wanted to run
 out 30 minutes ago but he drove me here".
 Cop: *shifts from hardarse cop to
 comforting father figure in about half a
 second* "Well I'm here with my daughter,
 she's about your age, perhaps you'd like to
 finish your meal with us? We can run you
 home afterwards if you'd like, unless you'd
 prefer to call someone else?"
 Girl: "Oh.. that would be really nice.. thankyou
 so much!
 *guy returns, so does the hardarse cop*
 Guy: "Uh so, I've paid the bill, if I could have
 back.".

 Cop: "There you go. now I have your details
 right here so I *highly* recommend you
 don't go near or contact this young lady ever
 again.
 Guy: "Yes yes of course, I'm so sorry!"
 The quy pretty much fled the restaurant, the
 qirl went and sat with the cop and his family
 and by the time we left they were still sitting
 around talking and laughing about random
 crap.
 It was hands down the best way I have ever
 seen anybody handle any situation, ever. That
 cop is my hero.

 said hello is this Johnny. I told her no it's not Johnny you must have the
 wrong number. She then proceeds to read my phone number back to me
 and I told her that the number she was calling could not be correct because
 it was my number. She then said she was sorry and hung up. She called
 again right after that. I told her no it's still me. She then would call me about
 once a week and I would have to tell her that she had the wrong number
 One time she called and I asked her how she was doing, she told me about
 her day, the noisy neighbors, her favorite TV show that she watched this
 afternoon and whatever else she wanted to tell me. She then asked me how
 my day was and I told her. She asked me how the kids were doing and I told
 talking to Johnny. I never told her I was Johnny but I never told her I wasn't.
 She would call about once every two weeks and the conversations usually
 went the same. When she asked about the kids I would tell her about mine
 She would talk about the last time she had seen them they were just little
 boys playing baseball in their cute uniforms. When I told her they were all
 grown up now she would remark that they grow up so fast. About six months
 ago I stopped getting phone calls. To be honest I really didn't think about it
 until I heard a commercial on the radio that sounded a lot like her. Then
 wondered what had happened to her. Well tonight when I got home from my
 men's meeting my phone rang and it was her. She told me that she had
 been ill and was in the hospital but she was much better now and home. She
 told me that they did not want her to come back home
 but she told them I've lived alone for 44 years I live alone just fine for the rest
 of my years. She then told me about her day about the noisy neighbors and
 about her TV show. She then told me she had to go because it was her
 bedtime, but we will talk again soon. Well curiosity got the better of me andI
 decided to do a reverse look up to see if I could find anything out about my
 mystery lady. Well I found her, she lives in the city& is 108 years old. I also
 found out her name for the first time because I never asked. Her first name
 swhich coincidentally was my grandmother's name. Her Johnny
 passed away about 23 years ago. I got this phone number about 21 years
 ago. So she very well may have had that correct number. It may have just
 been reassigned to me. I am looking forward to my next phone call from my
 friend

 over cartoons and making them all preachy. I
 hate it when shows try to push an agenda on
 kids. Why can't they be like they used to be,

 but you know what isn't fun? Judging others
 based on how they look. Not liking a person
 because he or she is a different race or
 religion is wrong. Also, plant a tree, and don't
 do drugs.

 between "boy's" and "girl's" entertainment

 concept of He-Man's sister She-Ra and was
 insistent she be as tough a warrior as her
 brother. He saw that girls actually did like
 scary" sword and sorcery and had a WHOLE
 EW FUCKING SHOW made so they could
 fee
 l acknowledged and have a heroine to look
 up to with her very own series
 er he would help design a whole new sci-fi
 fantasy setting with the most creative control
 he ever had, Bravestarr, and was adamant that
 the hero be a Native American man, the first
 ever in a starring role on a kid's action show
 He also wanted Bravestarr to be a positive
 role model by being a patient, gentle, soft
 spoken man who abhors violence and avoids
 using guns at all costs
 These cartoons are remembered as schlocky
 toy commercials and they ARE entertaining
 that way but real love went into them by a guy
 who wanted kids to grow up more sensitive
 and caring. Some of these same geeks crying
 about THE SJW'S were raised by even more
 bluntly progressive media than we've almost
 ever had and they didn't even know it
