Advice, Future, and Ironic: eggrollie art has been hard lately but i made this banana today and its probably the height of my ability and i am ready novw a guest speaker in one of my classes recently gave some of the best advice I have ever received… 1. let curiosity be your compass - think about what you’re motivated to do, your affinity, your aspirations. what are the core reasons for your motivation? 2. impact is everything - if everything works out exactly as expected, why does it matter? what will you learn or change? 3. be James Bond - expose the side of yourself that will be received best. you don’t need to reveal everything about yourself upfront. 4. create strong partnerships - build a wise council. you only need three people: one who is a few steps ahead of you or where you want to be in the future, one who is progressing at the same pace as you, and one who is behind you but has experienced more. 5. to make space for what matters, you have to say no - we aren’t self-aware enough to know our breaking point before we reach it, so don’t be afraid to pass on some things. 6. create meaningful time - bingeing is not productive. establish clear morning rituals and practice contingency management. a slow and steady schedule is best. 7.when you rush from A to B, you miss everything in between - slow down and forget about your destination. take time to appreciate the path you’re on. 8.”the chief enemy of creativity is good sense” - be creative. just don’t lose touch with your common sense. 9.it’s supposed to be fun most of the time or something’s wrong - there will be spontaneous emotional breakdowns and seemingly impassible obstacles, but enjoy the journey of life billsimportantposts

80s, Bless Up, and Clock: Meet Eddie, the Hospital Therapy Dog who is always carrying around his bookbag of toys and can always be found in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit @DrSmashlove Reddit u/Stuffy Unicorn Part 2 (see previous post for Part 1): He’d leap out of his truck wearing overalls and construction boots and a trucker cap - not Ed Hardy but a real one, an unironic one lol. And he look like Tom Brady in the face but he burly like Tom Hardy. And he got no shirt under the overalls just manly. And my girl like “Aren’t you cold?” And in a syrupy southern drawl he say “mayam - I werked one year as longshoreman in Alasker. One tam - my toes done froze off, lost two. But I survaved. An I don’t git cold no mowar. 🤠” He reach under the steering wheel, pop the hood, walk around, flicks it open, props it up with only his arm, grab wiper fluid out of the bed of his truck which also houses a deer he just shot, opens it with his mouth, pours the fluid, replaces the cap. I’m in awe. My girl even more in awe. He grab a blanket out of his truck and wrap up my girl and he like “just makin sure yer old lady’s warm, sir 😌. Would yall lak to come to my home for some deer steaks before continuing yer journey?” And I’m like “wow what a gracious offer u know what MSNBC and CNN are wrong about y’all, rednecks are amazing people” and just then. Right then. My girl hop out the whip. I’m like “WOMAN! IT’S SNOWING?” And she like “you don’t want steak then suit yourself I’M HUNGRY. We could have stopped at Ponderosa like I asked but you said we almost home WELL SMASH WE AIN’T.” And with that she retreat to the redneck’s truck. “But baby,” I said. “We got a nice home. Like the republican Family in Strangers things 😥.” “That might be true” she say “but money can’t buy happiness.” And just like that they ride off in the sunset. People always say “I was born in the wrong era.” BIH! NOT ME! In the 80s u could lose ya girl over wiper fluid! I’m not handy but I know how a Neapolitan suit should fit in the shoulder and how to tastefully appoint a living room with Eames chairs and Mies van der Rohe bench but still make it vibe with heirloom pieces like a grandfather clock! Bish I’m aesthetic asf! I was raised with sisters! And it’s ladies who, combined with my wondrous tung and pipe game, and my brand of earnest empathy, accept my type of manliness lol! Thank you God!! Bless up! 😂😂😂

Beautiful, Brains, and Goals: IONCLE SAINT LAUREN ONLY THE WEAK GIVE UP Our brains are wired to giving up easily, it’s normal (but not all right). 🤔 Human beings are believed to act upon the “Pleasure Principle”, the instant gratification… Instant gratification is the desire to experience pleasure or fulfillment without delay or deferment. Basically, it’s when you want it; and you want it now. (just in case your wanted to know what it meant.) Yes, so once in a while, wanting to give up is normal. But giving up is not okay.☝️ - ✔️Giving up makes you lose more things than you can imagine. Instant success is a myth, always. Many successful people failed hundreds of times, if they chose to give up instead of working harder to reach their goals, they would never succeed. ✔️Picture in your mind the ultimate result. Keep in your mind the picture of the end result. A visualization of what you want to accomplish will keep you moving forward. I mean, seriously, you don’t want to stop partway through. The feeling of being a quitter isn’t pleasant. You are a winner! ✔️Remember why you started and how much you really wanted it. Think back to the moment that this project, goal, or concept was conceived. Remember the joy and thrill of the adventure ahead? At the beginning, you had a goal in mind; a beautiful picture etched in your mind of the finished task. Beginning was simple; carrying through has become difficult. Going back to the beginning brings into focus the purpose of your endeavor. The memory of anticipation of the job accomplished is stirred up again when you begin to contemplate the reason you began in the first place. Breathe in deep and recall your purpose. - Don’t give up! - givingup success millionairementor
