Children, Fall, and Memes: Apatani tribeswomen wore nose plugs to prevent other tribes from kidnapping them due to their ugly appearance. #11 Source: Wikimedia MIRROR IMAGE - SUBMITTED BY JAIME_FEU - Lucy’s only friend was the girl she saw in the mirror. Lucy grew up in a very strict household, where she was not allowed to play with other children or leave the house. She had been very sick when she was younger, and even though she was much better now, her mother wasn’t quite ready to loosen the apron strings, so to speak. Lucy didn’t mind, though. She loved her friend in the mirror. She looked exactly like Lucy, and she even liked doing the same things Lucy liked to do. Lucy would be sitting in her room, reading a book or playing with toys, and she would look up and catch the glance of the girl in the mirror. They would wave at each other, sometimes mime a few things together, being silly and playing around, and then Lucy would go back to what she was doing and the mirror girl would do the same. It was nice just having someone there with her. One day, Lucy was sitting on her bed when she saw movement out of the corner of her eye. She looked up to see her mom enter her room. Except it wasn’t her mom in her room – it was only in the mirror. Lucy realized this mirror mom must be her friend’s mom! She had never met another mirror person before. And her mirror friend’s mom looked just like Lucy’s mom! Excited, Lucy ran over to the mirror to introduce herself. In a flash, the mirror mom reached out, grabbed Lucy’s wrist, and pulled her through the mirror. Lucy was thrown to the ground of her mirror bedroom just as she saw her actual mother appear on the other side. Her mother started banging on the glass, yelling at the mirror. “We had a deal!” she yelled, tears beginning to fall, “You were only supposed to take one! You can’t have both!”

Birthday, Love, and Pop: This Little Girl Narrated To Her Class How Her Brother Was Born. This Is Priceless I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second-grade classroom a few years back. Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater. She holds up a snapshot of an infant. "This is Luke, my baby brother, and I'm going to tell you about his birthday. First, Mommy and Daddy made him as a symbol of their love, and then Daddy put a seed in my mother's stomach and Luke grew in there. He ate for 9 months through an umbrella cord." She's standing there with her hands on the pillow, and I'm trying not to laugh and wishing I had a video camera rolling. The kids are watching her in amazement. "Then, about two Saturdays ago, my mother starts going, 'Oh, oh, oh!" Erica puts a hand behind her back and groans. "She walked around the house for, like an hour, "Oh, oh, oh!" Now this kid is doing this hysterical duck-walk, holding her back and groaning. "My father called the middle wife. She delivers babies, but she doesn't have a sign on the car like the Domino's man. They got my mother to lay down in bed like this." Erica lies down with her back against the wall. "And then, pop! My mother had this bag of water she kept in there in case he got thirsty, and it just blew up and spilled all over the bed, like psshhheew! The kid has her legs spread and with her little hands is miming water flowing away. It was too much! "Then the middle wife starts going push, push, and breathe, breathe. They start counting, but they never even got past 10 Then, all of a sudden, out comes my brother. He was covered in yucky stuff they said was from the play-center, so there must be a lot of stuff inside there Then Erica stood up, took a big theatrical bow and returned to her seat. I'm sureI applauded the loudest. Ever since then, if it's show-and-tell day, I bring my camcorder just in case another 'Middle Wife' comes long
This Little Girl Tried To Explain Child Birth To Her Class. This Is Priceless.
