smokeymcbandit: quasi-fluent: lagonegirl: WOW! This I don’t know her name but this is truly amazing!  #blackwomen #BlackGirlMagic  Her name is Swabra Swaleh Breik, and there is more to the story.  She saved the mother and the baby. Her son was sick Her partner wasn’t available, working in a hospital a long way away Her co-workers were all also working, over-worked. If she didn’t perform the surgery the mother and/or the baby would have died. She was fired for unreleated reason The hospital would not okay her study leave to advance her skills because they said she might not come back From what I can gather, they try everything they can to ensure doctors are unskilled enough to keep their pay down, and if they reach enough time on staff that they would need to be paid more they are let go in favor of fresh lesser experienced doctors Swabra spoke out over the feeling of wanting to give up And despite pushing hard to help people and still get paid a fair wage and obviously saving lives even in tough situations… people have decided to criticize her. “That’s dangerous to the baby” “That’s dangerous to the patient” “That’s unprofessional” She saved lives you assholes And she did it while being worn down by a corrupt system that actually bought 2 million dollar Christmas trees. No lies. County govt said it had no money to upgrade doctors’ pay but have huge sums for paltry, momentous Christmas trees. Drs been on strike for 3wks while govt act like the Gen Pop can do without medicsIt’s a shit storm we live in. : Aliyu Ndajiwo I @Ali Ndaj Picture of the day! A pregnant doctor with her child on her back is performing a cesarean section to save a mother and a kid in Kenya. smokeymcbandit: quasi-fluent: lagonegirl: WOW! September 11, 2001..... As I stood before this hallowed place.....16 years to the day when time stood still. When we as a Nation watched the Towers Fall, watched the Pentagon burn and the words "Let's Roll" showed a moment of true sacrifice aboard Flight 93 as REAL Americans prevented yet another hit on American soil. A day when we actually stood together as Americans in the face of despair.... I can't help but think of where we are now! Hate groups running rampant, racial and political divide, calls for monument removals, calls for Presidential Assassinations from elected officials... Where did we go wrong? What happened to us as a Nation? In an age where we are more connected than ever before through technology....it's seems we are further apart than we have ever been. So what are we gonna do America? It's true there is never any room in America for bigotry or hate......but neither is DIVISION! The truth is, We are either together or we're not... We are either all in on this idea that is America or we're out... I wonder what the people who on that day 16 years ago were united as one and were simply Americans would say to us now? Would they be proud of the steps we have taken since the day Americans stood together as one nation in the face of true opposition? Or would they not recognize who we are or what we have become? When I think of that day I don't think of terror. I don't think of weakness. I don't see black and I don't see white. I DO NOT see politics of who is right and who is wrong.... I think of a rallying cry for America and the awakening of what makes Americans truly great.... EACH OTHER!! WE are the problem....BUT we are also the answer! Think about it and NEVER FORGET! AMERICA.....Always! -Graham🇺🇸 USA neverforget 911 freedom america: September 11, 2001..... As I stood before this hallowed place.....16 years to the day when time stood still. Never go to bed mad at anyone you care about or love, you never know when it could be the last time you get to hold them or see them. 16 years ago one of the most tragic terrorist attacks in the United States happened, it's a day that we will never forget as long as we live. Thank you to those who helped during that tragedy and those who lost their lives trying to save others. I still remember exactly where I was the second it happened and I'm sure most of you do too, never forget 9-11 🙏. 911 september11 supportourtroops heroes twintowers neverforget worldtradecenter: At this moment 16 years ago, millions of Americans went to bed quietly, with no thought that the next morning their world would change forever. That night hundreds packed flight bags they would not live to open. Thousands slept with loved ones for the last time. One never knows what a new day has in store. Let us live each day to the fullest, and never miss a chance to let those dearest to us know of our love for them. So TONIGHT if you have someone in your life that you love, tell them.. Never go to bed mad at anyone you care about or love, you never know when it could be the last time you get to hold them or see them. 16 years ago one of the most tragic terrorist attacks in the United States happened, it's a day that we will never forget as long as we live. When my WORST day....became my BEST day! In about 4 hours, on this very day 4 years ago... I had the scariest and most amazing day of my life. Many people don't know this, but on that day me and Ellisa almost never got to know AnnaGrace. In the blink of an eye, she was in duress and was in immediate danger. As fast as I heard the nurses running into the room, she and Ellisa were taken to the operating room. Standing there alone in the hallway, I wasn't sure how my life would change on that day. Would we be left with heartache or would we celebrate a life together? I will never forget the moment I saw AnnaGrace for the first time. I knew right then and for the rest of my life my heart was hers. She truly was the missing piece our family was missing. Happy Birthday AnnaGrace! Thank you for your spirit, your humor, and allowing me to be your dad. You'll always be my Ace! -Dad🇺🇸 daddysgirl mygirl happybirthday: When my WORST day....became my BEST day!
