Eisenhower. Met with opposition from Arkansas governor Orval Faubus who called in the National Guard, these phenomenal individuals change the trajectory of history. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β € Greeted by segregationist mobs and opposers, these nine persevered. Today we, Baller Alert salutes the Little Rock Nine. Their sacrifice changed history and although we have a bit further to go, their selflessness has brought us thus far. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β € At this time BA will like to acknowledge the passing of one of the catalysts. As the Nine embark upon the 60th anniversary, one member will be with the unit in spirit. Jefferson Thomas passed on September 5, 2010 from pancreatic cancer.
