(Personal note: I qualified for Medicaid in Pennsylvania last year and I wasn’t expecting it. It really does help if you do it.) NOTE - the Trump administration has allowed the sale of short term and catastrophic coverage plans. DO NOT BUY THESE. THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU. THEY ARE PREDATORY. Make sure, if you qualify for ACA coverage, that you are purchasing a plan that is at least Silver tier! @vague-humanoid !! ENDS DECEMBER 15 !!

You're entitled to that choice. Just as other women are entitled to choose to make the choice not to shave November 1 at 9:02pm Like Katie Childs As I'm entitled to my opinion that it's gross. Yes? November 1 at 9:02pm Like John Hughes Yes. And I'm entited to tell you that your expression of that opinion is socially harmful. For example, people are entitled to be racists, but that doesn't mean it isn't wrong, and it doesn't mean I'm not going to call them out on it. November 1 at 9:04pm Like Katie Childs I'm sorry, I'm not changing my opinion. It may be socially harmful but I can't just change the way I × feel about something at the snap of someone's fingers. I shave pretty much every hair on my body except my head and eyebrows, and thats how I like it. It looks and feels clean and right. Also, I wasn't raised with the impression that I need to shave. My mom never talked about it and neither did my friends. I took it into my own hands at 12 to ask my mom for a razor because I literally think body hair is gross. Even on guys. I won't ask them to shave, but like armpit hair and leg hair is just ew November 1 at 9:08pm Like John Hughes So, let me get this straight. You acknowledge that guys have the right to keep their body hair even if you find it distasteful. But if a woman makes the same choice, you will ridicule her and tell her that she needs to stay away from the world for a month. That is a sex-based double standard. I.e, sexism. It doesn't matter if you find it distasteful. The world does not revolve around your tastes. We operate, or at least ought to operate, on a system where all people have basic ownership of their own bodies. And, as a society, we ought to strongly object to anyone who ridicules another person for exercising that right to their own bodies. Because ridicule is, in fact, a form of coercion. I am fulfilling that societal responsibility of calling you out for coercing other people You don't need to change your tastes. You just need to stop imposing them on other people. Other people don't exist for your tastes. November 1 at 9:13pm Like 2 Erin Dailey omg shut up girls are required to shave it says so in the girl handbook 23 minutes ago . "Omg shut up" just might be the most succinct, powerful argument I've ever read. Your conjectured condescending metaphor about a "girl handbook" makes me want to completely resign my position. You've shown me the light. I can see now: all women operate under a set of strict rules made up by sassy teenagers. They have no consciousness or bodily autonomy whatsoever Congratulations. You've addressed every single point of my complex argument with your one line dismissal. You have won. You are the queen of all girls.
