80s, Ariana Grande, and Bad: This dog throwing a ball on the beach @DrSmashlove A dear friend of mine who live in NYC was seriously dating a man from out of town. He planned to move to NYC and they planned to start a life together. He ended up calling it all off and it hurt her badly. I was texting with her and she said out of deep frustration “I HONESTLY JUST WANNA B LIKE ARIANA GRANDE THANK U NEXT BUT NOOO”. This really hurt my heart. Lemme splain y’all some. First, even Ariana ain’t like Ariana. I don’t know what Ariana was like as a child or what she like now. None of us do. Everything about her - from her music to her social media - is carefully crafted-curated by a team of dozens of people who make their living off of her. She has the fourth largest IG account with 136M followers. She don’t just walk into a bathroom bust a selfie and post it like y’all. She got a team of former Facebook-IG employees who analyze IG activity to the millisecond and post content that will guarantee growth and exposure of her account. And her music is cranked out by the same old balding men in creepy black nike caps, bad tans and tight jeans who managed Guns N Roses-Metallica in the 80s and now have decided that dressing a grown woman up as a lil girl with bows in her hair is the wave. Don’t ever get lost in the sauce. NOBODY’s heart is built like that. NOBODY invest they entire existence someone and then by the next day they like “thank u next”. That’s a tag line only someone with a sick heart (in a black nike baseball cap 😂) could devise. It’s not real. Love is a gift. Sometimes the world gets in the way. Don’t stop loving with all your heart. My friend said “What if I never meet anyone who makes me feel like that? Or worse, what if I can’t let myself feel like that with someone who deserves it bc he fvcked up my sense of trust so bad?” Well bish that’s how the heart works lol! That’s how u feel when u in love and it get torn apart! U feel like maybe u never gon be in love again! Nah. A merciful God ain’t build us like that and God is indeed merciful. Give it time. U will love again and realize that ya ex was a whole trash can. It take time to heal but it will happen. Don’t hold yourself to someone else’s timeline! Ever! Love y’all. Bless up ❤️
Blessed, Books, and Driving: Forbes 30Defining and driving the world THE 2019 of news and content 30 Under 30 2019: Meet The Millennials Changing The Face Of Media Betches Media Cofounders, Betches Media is botov al Since launching Betches in 2011 as a WordPress blog, CEO Aleen Kuperman, COO Samantha Fishbein and CCO Jordana Abraham have turned the women's lifestyle and entertainment site into a full-fledged multimedia company, expanding into podcasts, live events, newsletters and books. In 2017, Betches' revenue exceeded $5 million, Forbes estimates. So blessed. So moved. So grateful. BUT REALLY. We know it’s not typical for us to get personal in an instagram post but for anyone who’s ever wondered what goes into this account and the company behind it we’ll break our rule this one time. When we started Betches we had literally no idea what we were doing or what we wanted to get out of it. Being a female entrepreneur was not necessarily the “trendy” and exalted path that it is now, and lots of people, especially men told us along the way we couldn’t get to where we are bc we didn’t have this this or that, or do things the traditional way, or have the same vision as they did. Well, it’s true we didn’t have money, or mentors, or any business education between the three of us, and ya, we said fuck a lot. We hope that we can inspire any young woman out there who currently doubts herself and wonders if she’ll ever be able to do it (whatever it is) - the answer is yes, you can. We’re so thankful to our team and all the work you’ve put in to help us get here. Let’s fucking drink. @samifish @aleen @jordanaabraham
Anaconda, Apple, and Cars: Katie Notopoulos @katienotopoulos What was "the incident" in your high school? 8:28 PM 25 Dec 17 1,992 Retweets 7,994 Likes derpsquadk-pop: chocolate-cloud-artist: foxflaim: cubeget: libertarirynn: Most of my “incidents“ occurred in college because I was homeschooled. They include: The time a mentally ill homeless man looked up porn on the library computer and then wandered campus claiming he was Jesus. The time the school announced in the middle of the week that if we didn’t get our financial shit together immediately, the school would shut down in a few days and those of us in the middle of completing our majors would be boned. The time our financial advisor was caught embezzling a quarter million dollars The guy who wandered campus in a blue gimp suit A clique of students I never personally knew arrived to school with a Mexican flag and hung it up on the wall of the cafeteria when lunch time came around. They then stood up on the tables and proceeded to chant “F*ck Trump” and tried to get others in the lunch room to join in. They were semi-successful, and the crowd grew larger. This was, of course, not 100% safe for school grounds, so all the staff of the school had to step in to calm things down. This only made them more upset, and the group turned into a small riot, ultimately leading up to the police arriving on campus and me being hit in the head by an airborn apple as i was sitting down at one of the lunch tables watching it unfold. I wasn’t even hungry that day. Okay, but you missed a couple things, my dude. Things picked up, not when they tried to calm people down, but when an administrator came in and took the flag down, because it wasn’t appropriate school behavior and it was blocking a clock. And this wasn’t just a food fight, but a full blown riot. I’m talking, trash cans were thrown, people had cuncusioun, someone got a few people were convinced that it wasn’t the police, but ICE, or what ever it was called there to arrest people. The entire school went into lockdown and there was around ten or so police cars in the parking lot. They wouldn’t let us leave through the front door, but made everyone shuffle out through the back bus lot. Also, going to the nearby park, there at least 25 more cop cars waiting just in case.Interesting day. That day was a mess, a literal and figurative mess. It really was😩😩 I was just trying to get to class but got stampeded by all the rioting students who were exiting the cafeteria. Yoooooo wtf?
