Complex, Drugs, and Gif: There are dealbreakers, too. Anyone who regularly Netflix-binges engages in social activism, or wears mascara more than twice a week is going to have to look elsewhere. "This may not be the right place," the Startup Castle says, if you - Watch more than 4 hours of TV/movie/game entertainment per week - Have more than 1 tattoo - Have ever attended more than 1 protest Make more than three posts a week to social media Listen to a songs with explicit lyrics more than an once a day Wear make-up more than twice a weelk - Own any clothing, shoes, watches, or handbags costing over $500 - Have bills that get paid by somebody else Drive a vehicle that was given to you by your parents - Get regular spending money or gifts from your parents - Have more than one internet app date per week - Have a complex diet that requires lots of refrigerator space - Drink alcohol more than 3 drinks per week - Use marijuana more than twice a year - Have been prescribed anything by a psychiatrist more than once - Use any other drug more than twice in your entire ajani-on-the-spot: gehayi: berlynn-wohl: hapabap: nazerine: plasmalogical: paxamericana: Silicon Valley’s ‘Startup Castle’ is looking for roommates, and the requirements are completely bonkers good thing i listen to exactly one song with explicit lyrics every day I’ve been saying this for a while but Startup Bro is the new and terrifying lovechild of the brogrammer and the business major and he is somehow even more self-centered and bigoted than either of them No, no, guys, look closely. This house is looking for extremely physically fit young men (No drugs, no makeup, no special diet, exercise 15 hrs a week) who are passive and docile (no protests, no music lyrics with swears) who, most of all, will not be missed if they disappear (very little social media presence, not rich enough to own expensive luxury items, no need to constantly be in contact with their parents over bills/gifts, few identifying markings like tattoos) This is obviously an organ harvesting operation. Actually it turned out that the guy who was running it wanted to create a quasi-paramilitary organization. There were so many horror stories about the place in the news that the landlord evicted everyone. (Gotta say, though, that I like the organ harvesting scheme better.) “It would have been better to have found out this was an organ harvesting scheme” is not a sentiment I expected to see today, and yet.

College, Food, and Fucking: Ronald Reagan stuck it to millennials: A college debt history lesson no one tells Dramatic, awful changes occurred on my generation's watch and it amounts to a fiendishly successful conspiracy PETER LUNENFELD wes-stoodis: lokicolouredglasses: imathers: abraxuswithaxes: smallrevolutionary: trungles: shorterexcerpts: styro: salon: Ronald Reagan pretty much ruined everything for millennials. fuckin’ ronnie I try and bring up how he ruined free in state tuition in the name of hippie bashing when he was California’s governor often, but don’t exactly have the biggest platform. “Worst of all, these students’ sense of the future is constrained by planning for and then paying down their student loans, often for decades. Economists are waking up to the fact that when young Americans enter the workforce burdened with over a trillion dollars in cumulative debt, they become risk averse, unwilling to move, less able to make major purchases, and slower to become homeowners. Not coincidentally, they don’t feel safe enough to register any major protests against the society that’s done this to them.” Damn. i am reblogging again because….. fuck ronald reagan forever and ever and ever and ever. Economists should be adept in their fields, how are they only now realizing that paying off our student debt is a fucking priority over anything else other than food? Weird, it’s almost like there’s something missing from the study of economics. Who would have possibly thought that a young generation owing trillions of dollars could have a negative effect on the economy?
Streets, Paris, and Violent: Gilets jaunes blockading streets in central Paris during violent protests just days before President Macaron is captured and exiled to Elba. (2018)

Gilets jaunes blockading streets in central Paris during violent protests just days before President Macaron is captured and exiled to Elba....

Animals, Children, and Dating: 19:08 f Okay, so propaganda has already taken over, and the news and media blackout isn't helping the sanitization and colorization that western media has already fallen victim to, so l'm just gonna give you the breakdown asl know it: 05:46 Protests started a week ago after 2 kids got run over and killed by a bus. Protests were peaceful with most kids (ages 10-18) taking over the jobs that cops are supposed to be doing instead of taking bribes and scratching their asses. 05:47 At first, they led to runaway traffic, but over 2-3 days, they established a radical improvements in traffic control and safety, clearing up the roads that were previously horrendously chaotic. Not a single civilian had a complaint. No uproars, no violence, nothing. Probably the best civil movement in the history of this country... all by children 05:48 The blame for the prevailing lack of safety and order was rightfully placed on a senion government official - one of the most corrupt and evil of the bunch: the shipping minister. He fueled the civilian's outrage by citing accidents irn neighboring countries and sidestepped the issue quite shamelessly 05:50 Civilians called for his discharge, and students demanded traffic system reforms to ensure safety and alleviation of chaos 05:51 And that's when things started going South 05:51 Message 19:08 f And that's when things started going South. 05-51 The government tasked the BCL - their student activist wing - with"reasoning" with these kids Now these BCL animals are well known terrorists, with a track record of violence, rape, torture, vandalism, etc. etc. dating back almost three decades. 05:53 They reasoned with the kids alright. By shooting at them and striking them with machetes and metal bars. All while being protected by the police - who themselves shot at the kids with beanbags and choked them with teargas grenades. 05:54 Reports are all over the place. It didn't take long for the government to have the cell providers shut down all mobile internet services, so photoS and videos are few and far between. Facebook is the most popular social media platform, but it's heavily monitored and censored 05:55 Several nundred children and young adults hospitalized - some in critical condition, some requiring amputations, most severely injured Several children are still missing 05:56 Eyewitness accounts without sufficient evidence (but I wouldn't put it past these BCL animals) 3 school boys were murdered on the spot with guns and machetes. Four school girls were abducted and gang raped 05:58 One boy had his eyes gouged out in front of Message 19:08 f One boy had his eyes gouged out in front of hundreds of other children. (Some evidence present) 05:58 Several women. including a reporter, have been molested and abused by BCL pigs. (Confirmed and evidenced) 05:58 Reporters at the scenes were brútally beaten, had their equipment destroyed, and threatened with death 05:59 The government run hospitals have refused admission to students of any kind, some have completely shut down. Some privately-run hospitals are struggling with the influx of injuries and deaths, but they re being forced by the government to deny treatment 06:00 Med students and interns in one private hospital have taken to the streets in protest, for not being allowed to treat children in dire situations because of orders from higher-up 06:01 Last night police raided a large residential area which houses families as well as students of the neighboring private universities - the police were formed in their usual riot configuration, but only this time, hundreds of BCL thugs were lined up behind them 06:02 No reports from the situation there yet. 06:02 and that's all I got so fa .02 Message 19:09 f Beating children to death and disability - direct violation of basic human rights and international law 15:06 This shit is fucked 15:06 All being executed by the government and law enforcement. I think they're raiding homes tonight They did last night in one small region. But it 15:06 15:06 might go city wide tonight. I've been hearing stuff Go on twitter. Look up #WeWantJustice . We are begging the rest of the world to spread 15:07 . 15:07 15:08 15:08 the message, images, videos, everything ... 15:08 l he media blackout here has silenced any online presence the real situation has 15:08 No one knows what's actually happening. Not even ourselves 15:09 Message [Serious] This is happening RIGHT NOW in Bangladesh

And the thing about a racist neighborhood was to bring up tying black people to trucks and basically keelhauling them…ostensibly in an attempt to go “See I’m from an area that did this and think it’s so I’m not racist.” But the people he was talking to rather reasonably went “Why the fuck would you talk about that???”

Okay, that’s fair.

Yeah that was the context of the statements and it’s like… Maybe you’re not a big racist yourself but holy fuck dude, in this day and age do you not see how you can’t say shit like that on a phone call? There were about a million better ways to communicate “I’m not racist“ or just vaguely say “I remember how bad racism was growing up“. At no point did you need to actually use the N-word or go into graphic descriptions of racist violence.

Facebook, Google, and Internet: TECH E.U. NIXES CONTENT LAW July 5 The European Parliament votes against controversial set of copyright laws that would require online platforms to pay and censor shared content The European Parliament voted against a controversial set of copyright laws that digital rights campaigners said could change the way content is shared online. One rule that was voted against, known as Article 13, would have required online platforms like Google and Facebook to filter out content that infringed on copyright laws. The proposed law sparked debate over how music, images, and videos would be shared over the internet. Executive director of the London-based digital rights organization Open-rights Group, Jim Killock said: - “Round one of the Robo-Copyright wars is over. The E.U. Parliament has recognized that machine censorship of copyright material is not an easy and simple fix.” ___ Many digital rights activists worried the legislation could affect meme culture, as memes traditionally re-purpose images or video clips. ___ Another element of the proposed set of rules, known as Article 11, would require online platforms to pay publishers for news video clips. ___ The copyright directives were initially approved by the European Parliament Committee on Legal Affairs last month, but aggressive protests by digital rights activists allowed for a secondary vote in the E.U. Parliament chamber. The laws will be reworked and voted on again in September.
