Being Alone, Amazon, and College: did you know? There's an app that pays people to go online. Nielsen, the organization that does TV ratings, now measures the popularity of websites and online videos. To do that, they'll pay you just to 1.) Join the Nielsen panel at InternetPanel.org 2.) Get the free app on your phone/computer, 3.) Use the internet the same way you do now. It's that simple! Panel members receive cash and Amazon gift cards just to use the internet. nielsen PHOTO: INTERNETPANEL.ORG DID YOU KNOW? collegehackable: cntnd: zarb: You guys, I looked into it and this is legitimate. According to Wikipedia, Nielsen has been a trusted name since the 1920s, first measuring what radio stations people listened to. In the 1950s, they got into television ratings and now they’re measuring the popularity of stuff online. I can’t believe they’re gonna start paying me to watch youtube videos… I’m truly living in 3019 It took me less than 5 minutes to sign up here GUYS… in 2019 we live in 3019 I usually scroll past these sorta posts, but I know a lot of broke college kids follow me and want someone to verify if this is real. After doing my homework, I learned that the Nielsen internet panel is undeniably real. (Source: TV Technology) If you’re worried about what data they collect, this is from Nielsen’s website: TL;DR they only want to know what websites you visit, how long you spend on those sites, etc. and they NEVER collect sensitive data such as usernames, passwords, login information, bank, or credit card information. Facebook already collects (and sells) your data. The difference is that Nielsen wants to pay you and they’re not sneaky about it. So yes, you can quite literally get paid to watch youtube videos. Pro-Tip: to make the most money, you guys should join the panel on your computer AND your phone because you can earn more for multiple devices. Besides regular rewards, Nielsen gives away $10,000 cash each month. You could receive a thousand dollars in one month from the sweepstakes alone. If you keep Nielsen on your computer, you’ll be automatically entered into their monthly sweepstakes, so the app is a must-have on laptop or desktop. Two people win $1000 each month and four hundred people win cash prizes. Another reason to add multiple devices is that annually they will pay you $50 per mobile device you connect, so it pays to put Nielsen on all your devices, even that old phone in a drawer somewhere if it’ll turn on. Tablets work too, as do iPods and E-Readers.

Amazon, Ass, and Books: Millennials Are Out- Reading Older Generations But younger Americans value library services less than more senior cohorts, study finds natural–blues: decrystallize: witchtimez: onlyblackgirl: m4ge: m4ge: m4ge: m4ge: This came up on my facebook feed and I am so excited to see how generation Xers and Baby Boomers will find a way to use this to shit on millenials anyways nice okay we’re off to a good start oh boy do i have something to tell you about millennials, working, and debt that’s gonna absolutely blow your socks off banksy’s family found this article Why old people so mad. It’s funny because millennials can pretty much multitask like it’s second nature simply because it’s necessary to keep up with society, while baby boomers whine about reading subtitles and can’t seem to program anything more complicated than a VCR. But sure, ok, the kids are lazy and have entitlement complexes Older Generations: -Make comics about kids not knowing how books work- Millenials: -Read more books than anyone else- Older Generations: …no we changed our minds reading a lot is lazy and entitled now I had a professor, way older, talk at a great length about how his generation is more well read than Millenials. When it was brought up that our generation reads more, he literally came out of nowhere with “Well, that’s not the point. See, my generation was better informed. You kids don’t know what it is to actually sit down and read for information. This generation is the least informed of any previous generation! Other generations sat and read, listened to the radio for information. There’s access, but are any of you *actually* informed? No. If I wanted to know what happened in Finland to make it a country, I would go to the library, speak to another human being, and check out books to read on the subject. We were happy to do it.” A girl a few seats behind me goes, “Bullshit. If I want to know that, I can Google that in a few seconds depending on my signal. I can youtube or Netflix a documentary on Finnish History. I can listen to podcasts made by Scandinavian historians. I can use Duolingo to get a better than basic understanding of the language, and use Amazon same-day to get a book in my hand by my last class of the day, delivered to the class. I can order Finnish food on my ubereats app, find a language partner chat app to video with people in Helsinki, use Google Earth to visit, patronise interactive museums, and stream the most popular films from the country *right now*. If I so desire I can take an opensource course from a highly accredited university about the same subject and apply to study abroad with a trusted program with the click of a button. I can use Tinder to find me someone there to get some with, I can buy plane tickets and find a top rated hotel for a good price with great reviews and stream their local radio stations with an app. I can buy train tickets, bus tickets and rent a car. We aren’t less informed. We just don’t learn things we don’t give a shit about or need just to say we did all smug about it. Stop sneering at us for the access your generation dreamed of giving us actually happening just because your old ass doesn’t know how to use it.”

Apple, Baseball, and Bless Up: u/MMorks 21h i.redd.it Yes, I sits comfortable like this Now u all know I love to use this platform to discuss serious issues. That don't make me popular but I'm not concerned with popularity. I'm concerned with creating dialogue. With that said I want to take this moment to discuss a serious issue we face as a human race, which is cancer. Cancer is a disease in which abnormal cells divide uncontrollably and destroy body tissue. It can develop in a woman breasts, in a man's prostate, anywhere. And, if not detected early and treated, it can kill u. Today I would like to focus on a specific form of cancer that is wreaking havoc on us while we sit and watch and I see NOBODY doing anything about it. And that cancer is the song Despacito. Bruv. Is u kidding me? First I heard this song as a suggested hit on Apple Music. Not gon lie I gave it a couple listens and may have een danced a little. Low key? That "besito besito" kissy kissy shit is festive. But bruv. Bieber remixed this sh!t and now it's on all the radio stations. Went to my Kurdish homie crib over the weekend and the DJ played the Arabic version - THIS MF SAID "baseeta baseeta" ("easy easy"). People lost they damn mind. Had to go hide in the bathroom with ear buds in playing A Boogie just to cleanse my palette 😖. Watched my homie's snap he's in Iceland right now and one of our bro's was playing the ukelele for a bunch of Icelandics in the forest and HE SANG DESPACITO AND THE ICELANDICS WERE SINGING ALONG. THE VIKINGS AINT DIE ON LARGE SAILBOATS OF MALNUTRITION ON THE WAY TO DISCOVER MINNESOTA FOR THIS SHIT. With that said I beg u. If u have a playlist with Despacito, delete it. If u Jewish and u having a bar mitzvah for yo son Joshua, play anything. Play Taylor Swift. But I beg u please do not let the goofy black DJ in the sparkly True Religion baseball cap and tight black suit from Express with a Janet Jackson head set on spin Despacito. AND TO ALL MY ARABIANS. YALL ARE ON NOTICE. I OPPOSE THE MUSLIM TRAVEL PLAN BUT KEEP PLAYING ARABIAN DESPACITO AND I WILL START SUPPORTING IT ON THE BASIS THAT WE'RE KEEPING OUR COUNTRY SAFE AND I MEAN THAT SHIT. Only u can stop cancer. I beg y'all. Let's lock arms and FIX THIS. BLESS UP 🤗😂😂😂

America, Children, and Church: Special Needs Kids With No Criminal Record Before She Could Say Goodbye @undocumedia Source: Fusion The Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnatiintervened on behalf of one of its members Thursday by asking politicians and law enforcement to halt the impending deportation of Maribel Trujillo Diaz. Trujillo is scheduled to be deported next Tuesday, according to The Guardian. Trujillo is a mother of four who came to the U.S. in 2002 because her family had been targeted by Mexican cartels. She previously feared deportation, but was granted “prosecutorial discretion,” according to the church’s statement. As part of an agreement, the Archdiocese explained, Trujillo was required to go to regular check-ins with ICE and was told she could remain in the U.S. as her case for asylum is still pending. ICE arrived at Trujillo’s brother’s home unexpectedly on Wednesday and took her into custody for deportation, according to the Archdiocese. In its statement, the Archdiocese said she was unable to say goodbye to all of her children: Trujillo’s four children are U.S. citizens. One of the children, a 3-year-old, has recurring seizures; another is pre-diabetic. Both require special attention from her mother, who is also the family’s main source of income. “I don’t understand the reason to separate my family. I have no criminal record, I’m here working to support my family, so that my kids can study and have a better life for themselves,” Trujillo told The Guardianbefore she was detained. “Why does President Trump want to divide my family and make me leave my kids behind – what are they going to do without their mama?” Trujillo told The Guardian that she would not want to leave her children behind in America, but also would not want to expose them to danger in Mexico, where members of her family have been kidnapped and received death threats. In a statement published by public radio station WVSU, ICE said that, in 2014, the Board of Immigration Appeals dismissed Trujillo’s appeals, making her “subject to a final order of deportation.” immigration

Memes, Indiana, and Tennessee: Radio Station Hacked & Forced To Play YG's "F*ck Donald Trump 33 @balleralert Radio Station Hacked & Forced To Play YG’s “F*ck Donald Trump” - blogged by: @eleven8 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A few local radio stations were in for quite a surprise when their stations were hijacked by a YG fan. Sunny 107.9, a non commercial radio station which covers 10 miles of Salem, SC, was one of the stations that was hacked and forced to play YG’s “ FDT” over the airwaves. They took to their Facebook page Monday to explain the mix up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “This is NOT our broadcast!” Sunny 107.9, President Frank Patterson of the Lake Keowee Broadcasting Group, wrote on Monday. “We at WFBS do not take political views! The FCC and WFBS are working to fix this situation ASAP.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Monday’s incident wasn’t the first. On January 20, inauguration day, several low power stations were hit with the FDT hack. A station in San Angelo, Texas, which normally plays R&B oldies, also played the song, along with El Jefe 96.7, a Spanish language station in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 103.5 in Evansville, Indiana, and Crescent Hill Radio, a nonprofit station that plays local music in Louisville, Kentucky. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “OK, not funny. some one has hacked into out transmitter tower, and the FM was playing a mp3 clip repeatedly of %$^ Donald Trump,” Crescent Hill Radio posted on Facebook.
