me_irl: You're at a house party with a group of people you know. They all say "Hey, let's go to d'Erp, the hip new club down town!" Everyone is trippin' on bud light, so they think it's a good idea. So you try to clear the pile of clothes out someone's friend's friend's Kia Rio and end up sitting on top of a seat belt receptacle. You try to stay positive and tell yourself "You need this. You have spent the past 10 nights surfing Reddit. When people say "You need to get out more", this is what they mean. Take risks. Get outside of your comfort zone. You're uncomfortable right now, so that must mean you're on the right track. This is how you make friends. This is going to be cool, you'll see." So then you get to the club, and it's basically a sheet metal building with strobe light inside of it with grossly overpowered speakers with NO acoustical integrity. You pay $10 to get into this place, you can't hear anyone, obscene music is playing, you try to talk to a girl, she can't hear you, you try to grind up on a girl and she doesn't like it, so you try it on someone else and she's ok with it but doesn't make eye contact with you, and you realize you have no idea how to dance like this, your friends look at you and laugh, and you try fond memory. to tell yourself that it will be Then someone's girlfriend decides she's mad about something and goes outside to cry, so 1/3 of the group breaks off to deal with that. Then the rest of the time you're there you just kinda nod to the music and pretend it's fun, buy a $7 test tube of kool aid with a drop of vodka in it from a VERY pushy cocktail waitress (it will give you diarrhea tomorrow), and you just wait until it's time to leave. Then, you shake hands with everyone and call it a night, but it's socially awkward because the group isn't really closer for the experience, and you're just trying to cover up how disappointed you were with the night while trying to pretend not to be because no one likes a negative asshole. "It was fun, bro. We'll do it again sometime." Then you go home and surf Reddit. I fucking hate night clubs.. me_irl

Imagine being such a shit mother you won’t take your kid to a doctor or hospital after FLIPPING YOUR CAR: **Please be kind/no negative comments. I'm very shook up & emotional as it is right now! My Husband, our almost 1yo Daughter & myself were just in a car accident a couple hours ago. Our 12 seater van hit the ice & flipped upside down. I was in the back middle seat with the baby & the whole entire seat came unbolted & flipped over on the baby & I. I threw my body over the baby's car seat to protect her from impact even though l'm sure it didn't do much to help but motherly instincts don't always make sense in the moment. Anyways she was buckled into her seat properly (thank God) but we didn't have her base so she was buckled into the middle of the bench seat with the seat belt going across the car seat the way it's supposed to go. My Husband made sure the seat belt locked after he put her in thankfully, it was a shoulder strap too btw. Anyways she seems totally fine, she was hanging from her seat (again she was in properly & tightly) for a few seconds until my husband & I flipped the seat back & I took her out. She was screaming & crying I think out of fear, I was super scared & was yelling "My baby, my baby, OMG my baby!" So I think she could tell I was more freaked out then her being hurt. I checked her over completely, Daddy is a retired Army medic & checked her over & she doesn't seem like she got hurt so we decided not to take her into the hospital to get X-Rays or anything & expose her to germs or radiation or anything. Plus it's snowing bad & we don't want to take a chance on getting into yet another accident with her. My question is she was upside down, even though she was buckled tight into her seat & chest clip was at proper level & all, should be worried about her brain being rattled? Whip lash? Etc? I've been watching her like a hawk & she's playing, laughing, walking, etc just fine. But other than signs of a concussion which I'm aware of, & other than her demeanor changing, what other things should I be looking out for? Should I be putting ice on her neck or something? I gave her an Arnica 30c tablet & that's it. Should I not put her in a warm bath tonight just in case she has whiplash? Any advice appreciated. Thank you.
