saints-row-2: heres a clip from the movie In A Valley of Violence where james ransone gives a speech that is so incredible me n my friend had to pause the movie because we were laughing too hard to keep watching it   parts of this scene that i think are worthy of note: the way that halfway through saying “i need you” karen gillen obviously realises she doesnt actually need her terrible fiance james ransone that much and it comes out sounding like a question that this film is set in like the 1800s but the way james ransone delivers his lines means that this entire exchange could be happening in the aisle over in a walmart  the complete uncertainty with which karen gillen says “yes” like shes rapidly rethinking her entire life 𝓲𝓷𝓬𝓵𝓾𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓶𝔂 𝓯𝓪𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 the face james ransone makes at the end where his entire mouth disappears the single eye twitch at the last second that is such an incredible cherry on top of an already completely insane cake : saints-row-2: heres a clip from the movie In A Valley of Violence where james ransone gives a speech that is so incredible me n my friend had to pause the movie because we were laughing too hard to keep watching it   parts of this scene that i think are worthy of note: the way that halfway through saying “i need you” karen gillen obviously realises she doesnt actually need her terrible fiance james ransone that much and it comes out sounding like a question that this film is set in like the 1800s but the way james ransone delivers his lines means that this entire exchange could be happening in the aisle over in a walmart  the complete uncertainty with which karen gillen says “yes” like shes rapidly rethinking her entire life 𝓲𝓷𝓬𝓵𝓾𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓶𝔂 𝓯𝓪𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 the face james ransone makes at the end where his entire mouth disappears the single eye twitch at the last second that is such an incredible cherry on top of an already completely insane cake

tenderskeptic: vulvva: paxamericana: this man will get absolutely demolished by trump. a party that nominates him is signing up for four more years of trump. Joe Biden sucks but this is an example of his well-documented speech disorder… as someone with a (much milder and more intermittent) stutter, the amount of ableism in the comments is literally depressing. Just call him a racist capitalist and leave disability out of the conversation maybe Yeah I’m gonna stop you right there, Chief. This is a whole lot more than “a stutter”. On several occasions Biden has literally said things that were completely nonsensical, like claiming he was running for Senate and saying he was arrested in South Africa and telling people to “vote for the other Biden”, just to name a handful of instances. A stutter does not even begin to explain that shit. It’s pretty clearly dementia.: tenderskeptic: vulvva: paxamericana: this man will get absolutely demolished by trump. a party that nominates him is signing up for four more years of trump. What a punch This is assault and illegal. He may spew nothing but bile but his right to free speech must be protected Ain’t nobody throwing him in prison, so his freedom of speech isn’t being violated. Also, learn what speech is exempt from it, like, for instance, fighting words. Words that by their very utterance inflict injury, and speech that incites an immediate breach of the peace, kind of like, yknow, saying you want to exterminate all of their kind of people. Basically, talk shit get hit is 100% protected. I swear people that yell about Freeze Peach have no idea what it means. If you provoke someone and then they act on that provication, then it’s on you, not them. Freedom of speech just means the government can’t tell you what to say.  Reblog to piss off a Nazi! Nazism is a call for genocide, a literal incitement to violence. That punch didnt start the fight but it did finish it. Hate speech is not protected motherfuckers Beautiful Punch. Wonderful and Flawless execution of the classical move “The Nazi Puncher”10/10. Free speech also only means the government can’t punish/censor you for expressing your views UNLESS your views fall under hate-speech or you express them with violence - both things that white supremacy falls under. Speech: Rachel R. Romeo @RachelRRomeo I just had such an affirming experience. On my 8hr intl flight back from a conference, I sat next to a father/son. In broken English, the father began to apologize/ warn me that his ~10 yr-old son had severe nonverbal autism, and that this would like be a difficult journey. 1/ 2:59 p.m. 28 Aug. 19 Twitter Web App 41.3K Retweets 178K Likes Rachel R. Romeo @RachelRR... 18h Replying to @Rachel RRomeo I told him not to worry, I was a speech-language pathologist with lots of experience with minimally verbal kiddos. Challenging behaviors began even before take off: screaming, hitting me, and grabbing for my things. The father repeatedly apologized, but did little else 2/ t 813 19.2K 55 Rachel R. Romeo @RachelRR...18h I asked him how his son preferred to communicate. He didn't seem to understand. Perhaps this was a language barrier, but I think instead the child had very little experience with communication therapy. I put away the talk I was working on & asked if I could try. He nodded. 3/ 11 L 705 18.1K Rachel R. Romeo @RachelRR... 18h I tried to see if he was stimulable for a communication board. I started by pulling up some standard images for basic nouns on my computer but I could tell that screens really bothered him. So I summoned my god-awful drawing skills and tried to create a (very!) low-tech board. 4/ 1680 13 18.3K Rachel R. Romeo @RachelRR... 18h And by god, it clicked. I made symbols for the things he was favorite stuffed penguin, and for his dad. He took to it very quickly. I introduced way more symbols that I normally would, but hey, how often do we get an 8-hour session?! 5/ grabbing, for his Li 768 20 22.6K Rachel R. The father was astounded clearly no one had ever tried an AAC approach with him. I gave him the paper & showed him how to use it, and he nearly cried. 6/ 1992 105 28.5K Rachel R. Romeo @RachelRR... 18h This was the human desire for communication, pure and simple. To connect with another person and share a thought. Communication is a basic human right, and I was overjoyed to help someone find it. What a privilege and a gift. 7/ t 2,713 48.5K 172 Rachel R. writer-adventurer: sheepishdove: heyintrovert: INTROVERT MEETS EXTROVERT I actually really loved this- i definitely bonded with the introvert side of it more but I loved hearing the extrovert point of view and understanding how they recharge and their thoughts on things I guess. Interesting watch I found their body language very interesting. Like, when the introvert was talking the extrovert was almost leaning in to what she was saying, and was looking directly at her for most of her speech. By contrast, the introvert remained facing forward and didn’t make eye contact, even though she was actively listening and engaging in what the extrovert was saying. The extrovert also used her body much more when she talked, using her hands and other movements to aid her talking. The way she talked also had a lot more dynamic, more lifts and falls, than the reserved tone of the introvert. The introvert also started off very quiet, but it was clear that she was receptive to the extrovert’s energy, because she got louder and more willing to talk as the video went on. I don’t know, I just thought it was really cool how their body language aligned with their personality types 😅 : INTROVERT MEETS EXTROVERT writer-adventurer: sheepishdove: heyintrovert: INTROVERT MEETS EXTROVERT I actually really loved this- i definitely bonded with the introvert side of it more but I loved hearing the extrovert point of view and understanding how they recharge and their thoughts on things I guess.
