College, Love, and Memes: YOU your aesthetic, your art, your cafes and craft- beers are erasing my culture from these streets. f the reason 57 families ere forced torced omove from Marmion artments,. Gentrification is Molknce t Violenee Repost @wheresgordys16: One of the few things I remember from high school was Mr. conde telling me about gentrification. He told me he sees alot of people talk how they have so much pride for the neighborhood but after they graduate college the first thing they do is leave lhts. Instead of buying a home here they buy houses somewhere else thus leaving homes for grabs for rich people to develop new projects and jack up the prices on our parents. Forcing us to leave. I Say fuck that shit fuck the local coffee shops fuck the art gallerys fuck these new apartments they are building. I rather have the cholos back in the hood tagging on the walls have the killings and pay less than 900 for a 1 bed room here in LHTS. It sucks seeing these changes happening to the neighborhood that I grew up and love. Shit 5 yrs ago you wouldn't see people walking down alameda at 7pm now you see people dress like they are going to a wedding walking down there. Take all that shit to the valley or hollywood. Now I read that they wanna kick out the people that live in the apartments next to bi-rite FuckGentrification RespectTheCulture OrBounceTheFuckOff LincolnHeights LHTS HighLandPark ElSereno CypressPark LosAngeles

Animals, Definitely, and Dogs: In San Francisco, the homeless can take care of stray puppies and get pai for it. This is definitely a Win-Win! 🙌🏼🐶🙌🏼 • Repost @animalrevenge ・・・ Like this? Comment below😚 San Francisco is initiating a new program August 1, believed to be the first of its kind in the country. WOOF (Wonderful Opportunities for Occupants and Fidos) encourages homeless individuals to give up panhandling. In exchange, they’ll receive a small stipend to foster problematic puppies until they’re ready for adoption. from @homelessfriend The goal is to try to help both the city and its animals. San Francisco Animal Care and Controlwill screen potential foster parents to ensure that they are a good fit for the program. They must live in supportive housing, not on the streets, and prove they are not severely mentally ill, aren’t hoarders, don’t have a history of violence and aren’t seeking treatment for addictions. In exchange, the approved applicant will receive $50-$75 a week, as well as several training sessions, regular check-ins, and all the dog food, toys, leashes and veterinary care they need, provided by Animal Care and Control.
