Fail, News, and Shit: Do you believe President Trump is a racist? Yeah. Yeah. No question. How can you say that? shadesoforlando: now-exiting-fuckability: whyyoustabbedme: why in the world are we still asking this question in 2019? Trump: says and does racist things. People: call Trump racist. Journalists and politicians: Ok but like There’s no benefit in her going on live television and saying Trump is a racist without elaborating on the subject What he’s asking is a leading question and sure, taking his ‘how can you say that’ out of context works well to make him seem like he supports Trump but that’s not how it was said in the interview. How it was said was to get her to continue to talk about why Trump is a racist Don’t believe me? Skip ahead in this video to 0:15 seconds and listen to the entire thing in context. She then goes on to ELABORATE on how he uses dogwhistles and his reaction to Charlottesville (by calling Nazi’s fine people) so people who tune in to the interview can draw connections to what she’s saying as opposed to just reacting, like op did, to the exact words that are said. I think too many people on here fail to realize that news, real news, isn’t done by just saying shit. You have to be able to back it up and in order to do so, you need to be able to spell something out for people who don’t get it. And someone who already has been criticized by people for her views (including by people on here, bizarrely, because they keep things she’s said out of context) need to be able to get all the information out there.

Memes, News, and Party: wouL "I THINK IT'S GREAT!" Republican Party HQ vandalism suspect boasts in on-camera interview before arrest Hours after he allegedly spray painted the words 'rape' and 'shame' dozens of time on the Winnebago County Republican Party headquarters Sunday morning, suspect Timothy Damm (42) talked with an Eyewitness News reporter at the scene. "I think it's great," Damm said of the vandalism. "I haven't been great with the Republicans right in my neighborhood, but somebody labeled them for what they are. I'm happy about that." Damm was wearing a pink shirt with the same date printed on the back when he was interviewed. When asked if he thought the vandal had gotten their message across, Damm replied, "I think they did... Republican equals rape. That they support rape, they encourage rape, and if you rape someone, they will defend you." Damm was detained later Sunday at the Walmart on Riverside Blvd. where police found him in possession of additional cans of spray paint in a shopping bag. He was taken into custody on Monday. Damm was charged with criminal damage to property and resisting a police officer. He faces up to one to three years in prison, if convicted. According to the criminal complaint, Damm danced on the table in the police interview room, stacked chairs and furnishings, and stripped down to his underwear. The complaint goes on to say that when police tried to escort Damm from the interview room he thrashed his arms and legs and refused to sit in the holding room. He was then taken to the floor and restrained in handcuffs.

It was way closer to my home, and I had almost a decade of experience working in a coffee shop at that point.  Got to the interview, and it turned out they didn’t want a barista, they wanted someone to spearhead their new cafe, as the cafe that had been in the store before didn’t want to resign their lease with the bookshop. They wanted to put their own cafe in its place, all new menus etc. They needed someone experienced to train their new staff, to handle window displays, to communicate with the bookstore owners about changes and needs of the cafe, to be able to handle inventory and ordering. Okay, I had basically done most of that stuff at my previous job. I asked if cafe positions would also be required/trained to work the bookstore. They would. They would be required to run the book sale counter, stock and reshelf books, and help bookshop customers find things. They would also–despite having an outside cleaning company–have to help maintain bathroom cleanliness. They’d have to take out trash, and clean spills, and vacuum. Wow, that’s a lot, I said. Is this a manager’s position, then? No, I was told, it wasn’t, but there was a chance that after a training period it might become one. And that made me pause, because I’d been working as the front-of-house manager at my cafe, and I knew how much work that entailed, and what kind of money I was making, and it was only the commute that had me looking for a new job.So I asked what the job paid.$8. E I G H T  D O L L A R S. Per hour. Barely above minimum. For all of that work. For someone they expected to get an entirely new cafe up and running, and then also do the work of the bookstore and the cleaning company as well. I thanked the woman for the interview, said I’d have to talk to my significant other about the impact a four dollar pay cut would have on our finances, and that I wasn’t sure it was the job for me. She asked me to sleep on it, and she’d call me the next day. This is a job I was way more than qualified for. I had years of experience doing exactly the things they wanted. It was a convenient location, close to my home–I could walk there if I absolutely had to. I did not go home and talk about that four dollar pay cut and what it would do to our finances. I knew as soon as she told me that not only was it not feasible for us, it was downright insulting. That little money? For a frankly ridiculous list of responsibilities and expectations? She called back the next day. I thanked her again, and told her in no uncertain terms that my time was worth way more than what they were offering. And whenever people bitch about Millennials being lazy, not spending money, not buying houses…whatever the complaint of the month is…I think about the very nice lady who conducted this interview, and how confused she was that I didn’t want the job.

I was honestly stunned when she started talking about rats, so a lot of what’s happening with me in the video is sheer bewilderment.” She also explained her “worms in your brains” comment: “When I said, ‘I just want people to have healthcare, honey,’ one of their reporters said off-camera, ‘That’s what Hugo Chavez said,’” Dasha said. “And when I looked in their eyes, they seemed so sick and crazy, like they had parasites in their brain that were making them say all this stupid, confused sh*t.” Dasha went on to share why she expressed her support for free universal healthcare, saying, “As an uninsured person, I feel personally victimized by the idea that anyone should be denied healthcare. Poor people shouldn’t get sick and die because they can’t afford to see a doctor, obviously,” she said. She also made a point to distinguish her socialist beliefs from mainstream liberalism. “When Infowars posted the clip on YouTube, they titled it ‘Liberals Defend Socialism at Bernie Sanders Event,’” she said. “It seems like there is a lot of conservative confusion and conflation of liberal’ and 'leftist.’ “I’m a democratic socialist and a Bernie supporter and believe in things like wealth redistribution and socialized healthcare,” she said. “I’m not even an especially political or radical person — I read Marx in college, which affirmed my views that capitalism is evil and responsible for many of our social ills, which feels to me like common sense having experienced poverty.” An Infowars post appears to indicate that the original video of Dasha has been removed. But Dasha wanted to make sure future generations could see her answers. “I posted the video on my Twitter for posterity,” she said, “and I thought it was funny [that] they took it down because they’re such failures.”

America, Clothes, and College: O4G19:39 pervocracy I wonder if one of the causes of animosity towards "entitled millennials" is that many millennials are poor people who look rich. Theres this growing class of people who wear nice clothes, have fancy new electronic gadgets, go out to eat nice food... and will never own a home or have a retirement fund or put a child through college. It's so easy to say "if you cut down on the avocado toast maybe you could save up", and so hard to accept that a house these days is fifty thousand avocado toasts, and thats why so many of us have just given up. We don't treat ourselves because we think the world will take care of us when we get older, we treat ourselves because we know it won't. Might as well feel and look good on the way down geobrarian think you're absolutely right. And what compounds this image is the fact that fancy new gadgets and nice looking clothes and elevated toast ARE all relatively cheap compared to how they look. The cost of things has gone way down while the price of property has skyrocketed. I can buy a full outfit, a phone case with an external charger embedded, and lunch at a local business for under $50 total, but then I'll walk home to 4619:39 business for under $50 total, but then I'll walk home to my apartment because I can't afford a car payment or a mortgage. It's unintentional smoke and mirrors bogleech Older, better off people also have difficulty understanding the cell phone thing because they remember cell phones being a luxury for thousands of dollars practically yesterday in their personal timeline of the world. They often have sincerely no idea you can get at least a flip phone for $10 and pay as you go And foods that used to be "exotic dining" in America like sushi and pho and curry have normalized enough, especially in cities, to be as inexpensive as a typical quick Tunch kyraneko Yep.
