Community, Detroit, and Facebook: gg% gg% people with real emotions and thought processes that at times made me angry, disgusted and other times other after taking some time to fully take in and characters made me feel hopeful. The think about the film Detroit I have been able to construct my thoughts and feelings into words. I'll start off with the basics the film is a masterful piece of cinema it is thought provoking, heart wrenching, and captures an issue that still plagues this country to this day and shows us that whether we want to accept it or not it has been happening for a majority of our nation's history. The performances by John Boyega, Anthony Mackie, Will Poulter, and everyone else were powerful and came through as characters who were more than just characters on a screen these were real people with real emotions and thought cinematography in the film is amazing using a blend of static shots and camera moves to show the characters and the environment they live in. the editing is jarring at points that allows us to get a sense of how chaotic the situation was The movie did have flaws however.
