Memes, Indeed, and The Prophet: "You will never find the comfort you truly need until you seek it in Allah @islam everyone Rememeber when we read about โ€˜Uthman Ibn Affan Radiyallahu Anhu, when he lost his wife then in a matter of days he lost his son, the Sahabah and even the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam was there to comfort him, but to whom did he turn to? To Allah, first and foremost. Remember when Julaybib Radiyallahu Anhu was feeling low and depressed because of how he looked and how he was treated, he turned and did his best to perfect his worship, and look how Allah comforted him by making the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam take him as his own. Remember when Ammar Radiyallahu Anhu lost his parents, and him seeing them martyred infront of his eyes, where did he find comfort in? In the words of Allah and the promise of Allah that they are indeed the first martyrs of Islam! Remember when Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam whenever a calamity would come to him (e.g. the death of his beloved Khadijah and son), he would call out on Bilal saying, โ€œO Bilal, call the iqamah for salah, and comfort us by it!โ€ [Abu Dawud] Look at the situations where they were placed, are you (who is reading this) placed on a greater lost, a greater calamity? Imagine, if you were Ammar who saw his own parents killed infront of him, would you act the same way as Ammar? Or if you were โ€˜Uthman, would you act the same way or would you let depression eat you whole? I am telling you, because I have been there, nothing can give you the comfort you truly need except Allah, so seek it in Him, not from anyone else. ______ May Allah Azza Wa Jall make it easy for use. Amin

Future, George W. Bush, and Memes: The 20 year curse. ig: @conspiracypostis ii Lincoln McKinley Hardin Roosevelt Kennedy Harrison The 20 year curse, aka curse of Tippecanoe. Every time a Presidents of the United States was elected or re-elected in years evenly divisible by twenty, from 1840-1960, died. In 1980, Ronald Reagan was shot but he survived and in 2000, George W Bush had an assasination attempt but survived. The curse, first widely noted in a Ripley's Believe It or Not book published in 1931, began with the death of William Henry Harrison, who died in 1841 after having been elected in 1840. For the next 120 years, presidents elected during years ending in a zero (occurring every twenty years) died while serving in office, from Harrison to John F. Kennedy (elected 1960, died 1963).The name "Curse of Tippecanoe" derives from the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811. As governor of the Indiana Territory, William Harrison used questionable tactics in the negotiation of the 1809 Treaty of Fort Wayne with Native Americans, in which they ceded large tracts of land to the U.S. government. The treaty further angered the Shawnee leader Tecumseh, and brought government soldiers and Native Americans to the brink of war in a period known as Tecumseh's War. Tecumseh and his brother organized a group of Indian tribes designed to resist the westward expansion of the United States. In 1811, Tecumseh's forces, led by his brother, attacked Harrison's army in the Battle of Tippecanoe, earning Harrison fame and the nickname "Old Tippecanoe". Harrison strengthened his reputation even more by defeating the British at the Battle of the Thamesduring the War of 1812. In an account of the aftermath of the battle, Tecumseh's brother Tenskwatawa, known as the Prophet, supposedly set a curse against Harrison and future presidents elected during years with the same end number as Harrison. The curse obviously was real; it couldn't have been a coincidence.

Jealous, Memes, and Muslim: Love for the sake of Allah is without a doubt the strongest type of love @islam everyone Love for the sake of Allah is without a doubt the strongest type of love. This is due to the fact that love itself can only exist, as long as the reason to love exists. For example, a man in love with the beauty of his wife will only love her as long as her beauty exists. If she loses her beauty due to old age or any other reason, his love for her diminishes. Whereas love for the sake of Allah, can never diminish as Allah himself is the ever-existing, the ever-living. Now the question arises, why should I love for the sake of Allah? Whatโ€™s wrong with just loving? Well there are numerous narrations of the prophet (peace be upon him) and verses in the Quran which speak about the virtues of those who love each other for the sake of Allah. Hadith 1 [quotes]Anas reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) โ€œAnyone who possesses three attributes will experience the sweetness of belief: that he loves Allah and His Messenger more than anything else; that he loves someone for the sake of Allah alone; and that he hates the idea of reverting to disbelief as much as he would hate being thrown into a fire.โ€ [Agreed upon][-quotes] Hadith 2 [quotes]Muโ€™adh said, โ€œI heard the Messenger of Allah, May Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, โ€˜Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, says, โ€œThose who love one another for My majesty will have minbars of lights. The Prophets and martyrs will envy them.โ€โ€˜โ€ [at-Tirmidhi][-quotes] After reading these two narrations of our holy prophet (peace be upon him) it shows that this type of love is held very high in our religion and even the prophets and martyrs will be jealous of it. Now that we know what the strongest type of love is and its virtue, how do we love for the sake of Allah? Loving for the sake of Allah means to love for someone what Allah loves, and hate for them all that Allah hates. This means to enjoin good and forbid them from evil. Making them the best Muslim they can be and securing your future in paradise with them. As Muslims, paradise is our ultimate abode and getting there is what we strive for. Letโ€™s start with loving for the sake of Allah because surely that is the ultimate form of love.

Batman, Girls, and God: BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE (2016) TOMATOMETER AUDIENCE SCORE se 17 74% 30% Critic Consensus: Batman v BVS ISA DISASTER ful justice THAT IS A THREESYLLABLE WORD FOR ANY THOUGHT TOO BIG FOR LITTLE MINDS This will be my full spoiler review, so don't read any further if you don't want spoilers. (Idea credit tagged) There are obviously problems with BvS - it was a mess, and you can't deny that. It was a lot, the cameos weren't necessary, Lois was annoying, too much CGI with Doomsday (who looked meh), etc. BUT, This was the first comic book adaptation of Batman that I was truly satisfied with. He was a broken man tormented by his demons. The first Batman scene where he saves those girls and the police find the branded guy was brilliant. They were terrified, it was dark, and wonderfully directed. Superman was Superman - Henry did an almost perfect adaptation of the character, and I loved the scene where the senate blew up - Superman had a look of a god who failed his people. He was believeable and good. Gal was a good wonder woman, I didn't find anything super special about her Lex was my favorite part. I'm a big Lex Luthor fan, I've read the old Superman comics, Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, Death of Superman, and the new Lex centered Justice League comics, and I can truly say he was great. He was a screwed up person likely with Antisocial personality disorder, and it was clear that everything he said and did was a facade as soon as Senator Finch told him no. He manipulated everyone, even the guy who blew up the senate. My favorite part of the whole movie was his painting that he flipped upside down to symbolize devils coming from the sky. In the grand irony of it all, Lex becomes the prophet of a mad god. The transition from TDKR to Death of Superman was well done in my opinion. The funeral was emotional and had a lovely theme of unity. The story itself was a bit of a mess, but I still loved it for a few reasons - a) it had a clear theme and message (something few comic book movies have) b) it did the characters really well and even though it had problems, it has us set up for great characters in a great cinematic universe c) it is incredibly relevant and impactful with current politics - today we have a refugee crisis, and a recent terror attack. Overall, the movie was good, certainly underrated and absolutely worth watching - I give it a 7-10 -Nightwing
