Children, Community, and Facebook: Verizon 1x 3:15 PM 61%D Post Turns out cutting off 15" of her hair last time she touched scissors wasn't a big enough lesson.she cut her bangs AGAIN. So now she's BALD. I think this time the lessons gonna sink in a little deeper! Write a comment.. Post News Feed Requests MessagesNotifications More thetwelvewords: matt-ruins-your-shit: jackpowerx: savage-affinity: Context to the story: The girl cut her hair once so that she could have bangs. The mother disapproved and decided to cut off 15 of her hair as punishment. The girl later again decided to change her hair style and the above was the result; she shaved her daughters head. Having a few personal experiences with this kind of invasive behaviour it really hurts to see someone go through these kinds of things, where the parent tries to live vicariously through their childs life, to attempt to shape them and make their decisions for them depending on what THEY would do and give their child NO independence or self expression. Thankfully, this mother thought her actions were 100% justifiable and posted it to Facebook as a bit of a “haha, teach my kid a lesson” and has been hit with brutal recrimination from her community and has had visits from Child Protective Services. For so many young (and older) girls their hair is their self expression, and in several months I hope this girl will have hers back. Children are not their parent’s possessions. Children are NOT their parents’ possessions. CHILDREN ARE NOT THEIR PARENTS’ POSSESSIONS!!! CPS is an overreaction but still what a cunt, that girl looks more than old enough to be making decisions about her own fucking hair. Here’s a helpful guide for parents, if another kid were to do it to your child and you would be incensed and call it bullying/assault etc…don’t do it yourself you stupid fat fuck. I know I am a throwback but why would the child not fight? I fought back physically over so much less than something like what a shaved head is to a female. Not a virtue signal blah blah… just an expression of amazement that the child would not stand up and say no decisively. Are you fucking seriously wondering why a literal child being abused by their parent didn’t “fight back”? This is the woman willing to forcibly cut her own child’s hair and then post pictures to humiliate her publicly. If the kid had “stood up and said no decisively” there’s a good chance she would’ve gotten her teeth knocked in.

Apple, Ass, and Bitch: Apple AirPods cost $159, but they can't pay taxes or decent wages to their Chinese factory workers! you SAID ON AN iPHONE.GOTCHA HEH *POST* CARS SHOULD HAVE SEAT BELTS! INTELLIGENT BORS celticpyro: thespectacularspider-girl: mattbors: edgeworth-for-the-truth: sindri42: captainkupo: mattbors: “Mr. Gotcha” on The Nib theres literally better alternatives to fucking buying an iphone dipshit your comic sucks dick There’s this weird disconnect in so many apple users where they hate Apple but they cannot conceive of anybody except Apple producing a viable smartphone or computer. You can get a machine that matches or exceeds every single aspect of any apple product for half the price, easily, but they need to get the one with an apple logo on it and then complain about apple. It’s like complaining that your car lacks a seatbelt when every other car on the road already has a seatbelt and you specifically paid extra to get your own seatbelt removed because you didn’t like the color. If you buy from Apple and complain about their business practices, you deserve to be made fun of and especially be called a boot licker. I am not sorry at all. You could have chosen from anyone else but you deliberately chose the most expensive and bullshit company to buy from, you pompous piece of human garbage. Stop virtue signally and maybe actually consider try helping those factory workers instead of enabling them. Shit head People really think this comic was some sort of pro-Apple comic and missed the point entirely. They’re real mad tho. And yet your stupid ass doesn’t get the underlying statements about Apple still apply to your smug comic. You don’t get to bitch about, say, capitalism when you engage in the excesses of capitalism. To mix the two metaphors, if you bitch about capitalism from an iPhone, congrats, you just proved you’re a hypocrite because you COULD have bought a phone made with more ethical means or that didn’t have the associated brand on it, but you did. Because you don’t really give a shit about making the changes yourself, you just want to virtue signal and have no actual principles. That’s why people bring up this kind of double-think, yet you felt the need to portray this valid criticism as a strawman so you can look intelligent. Seriously though! That’s why I hate this comic. The “cars should have seat belts” one is also dumb because guess what? The guy who conceptualized seat belts got them normalized in cars. The serf working under a feudalist system? Has absolutely no power to change it. In fact, they’re the one being exploited here, more comparable to the factory worker who built your iPhone than the upper-middle class person complaining about it. There’s a difference between recognizing a system is messed up while you have no control over the matter (as you’re the one personally being exploited), looking at a problem and deciding to change said problem, and doing absolutely nothing about the problem while participating in someone else being exploited when you can, in fact, choose not to be a partaker. No, not wanting to do something mildly inconvenient isn’t “the illusion of choice”. Fuck you and your shitty comic.

Being Alone, Dude, and Food: Professor: Wings-Eating Show Hot Ones Is Problematic for Women By KATHERINE TIMPF July 12, 2018 6:33 PM oo O O O Hot Ones host Sean Evans (YouTube screengrab via First We Feast) A YouTube show that challenges contestants to eat increasingly spicy chicken wings has raised the ire of a Tulsa media-studies professor. ccording to a professor of media studies at the University of Tulsa, the YouTube show Hot Ones is problematic because it "manipulates inequitable gender hierarchies." In case you aren't familiar with Hot Ones, it's a show where the host challenges his guests to eat increasingly spicy chicken wings. Seems pretty harmless, right? An innocent chicken-eating show couldn't possibly be something that's actually hurting women, could it? Well, Professor Emily J. H. Contois thinks it could. According to her paper, "The spicy spectacular food, gender, and celebrity on Hot Ones," published in the journal Feminist Media Studies, the show "creates, maintains, and manipulates inequitable gender hierarchies through the interrelated performances of gender, food consumption, and celebrity." In other words: According to Contois, society just doesn't accept the idea of women eating spicy foods, and that is the reason that only eleven women have appeared as contestants on the show so far. Women, she argues, know that they don't really stand a chance on Hot Ones, because gender binaries "create power hierarchies by feminizing dainty, light, and sweet flavors and foods, eaten in small portions with restraint." The paper goes on to claim that society conditions people to believe that "real men" are supposed to "seek out and conquer" spicy foods, and that "being the type of dude who loves hot sauce is part of performing conventional masculinity.. through actions like disregarding risk and facing danger fearlessly" Women, on the other hand, aren't supposed to eat messy foods like wings, or to discuss topics such as the effects that spicy foods might have on their digestive tracts, because these topics are "often considered taboo for women to openly discuss, let alone as part of a celebrity persona" without adopting a sort of "cool girl" persona, which some women might not want to do.
feminismisahatemovement:

alaija:

mogai-watch:

Oh
My
God.
Stop.
-A woman who eats hella spicy wings and doesn’t appreciate this kind of nonsense “academia” getting funded while departments contributing more than virtue-signaling and divisive dreck are chronically under-funded.

Some brave woman just needs to smash the piquant ceiling!!!

Or just have a Thai woman go on there…

Go easy on them, feminists ran out of things to be plausibly outraged about in around 1982. Whether or not the data would be more balanced if men were more frequently exposed to the children (which we might know, if women didn’t win custody in over 90% of divorce proceedings, and if men weren’t still expected to be the primary financial providers), there still remains a problem, there still remains a victim, and there still remains a perpetrator who must be held accountable for their actions.

Feminists won’t waste a single opportunity to point out that men more frequently perpetrate domestic violence but when you show them women commit child abuse more frequently you could hear a pin drop.
